Paul F. Wokwicz (1933 – 2021)

Attorney

Paul F. Wokwicz, Wokwicz Law Offices

In 1958, Paul F. Wokwicz opened his law practice, having earned a Doctorate of Law the previous year from Marquette University. Mr. Wokwicz had a vision of providing quality legal services to individuals, families, businesses and more in a way that clients would look forward to meetings with their lawyer. Paul began the practice in Milwaukee before moving his firm to Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1961. Wokwicz Law Offices, LLC has been serving the southeastern Wisconsin community ever since.

A native of Wisconsin, Mr. Wokwicz earned a Bachelor of Science from Marquette University before serving his country as a Reservist in the US Army from 1957 to 1963.

As the practice grew in time, Paul found himself with a growing client base that included a number of municipalities and school districts. Despite the increased number and size of clients that the firm served, Mr. Wokwicz continued to insist that all his clients, regardless of their economic status or size, received the same level of attention, respect and professionalism.

Having earned a reputation for fairness, Paul was appointed as a Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge in 1988 by then Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson. When appointing Mr. Wokwicz as a judge, Governor Thompson was quoted in the Kenosha News:

“I am pleased to appoint Paul F. Wokwicz to this judgeship. He has impressed me with his hard work and commitment, his experience and his strong desire to serve the people of Kenosha County in this capacity. I have every confidence he will make an outstanding judge.”

Paul served in that role during 1988-1989, before returning to his practice full-time in 1989.

In 1997, Paul F. Wokwicz invited his son Paul B. to join his firm. Together, the father and son lawyers worked side by side for a number of years, before Paul F. turned over the reins to his son. Still, Paul F. continues to play an active role in the firm, working with clients and helping steer the direction of the firm.

A well-respected member of the Kenosha legal profession and wider community, Mr. Wokwicz has served in a number of leadership roles over the years. He has been the President of the Kenosha County Bar Association, President of the Kiwanis Club, President of St. Catherine’s Hospital Advisory Board, Secretary and Board Member of Catholic Social Services of Kenosha, and Vice President of the Kenosha Civic Council and as a board member of the Safe Harbor Humane Society in Kenosha.
